Despite the Midnight Madness festivities tipping off the college season this past weekend it didn't stop a few high school prospects from stealing some headlines of their own and 2012 G D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera took the top prize as the talented guard made a verbal pledge to the Georgetown Hoyas on Saturday. 2012 G D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera of Oak Hill Academy (VA) verbally committed to Georgetown this weekend. He played with the Spiece Indy Heat during the grassroos travel season.
2012 F Jordan Granger of McCluer North (MO) verbally committed to Auburn over the weekend. He played with the St. Louis Eagles during the grassroots travel season.
2012 PG Clyde Smith of the Hotchkiss School (CT) verbally committed to TCU on Monday. He played with the New Heights program durin the grassroots travel season.
2012 PF Devin Thomas of Central Dauphin High School (PA) verbally committed to Wake Forest this weekend.
2012 F Brett Boese of Shadle Park High School (WA) verbally committed to Washington State over the weekend.
De-commitments
2012 G Josh Gray of Phillis Wheatley High School (TX) de-committed from Mississippi State on Saturday.

The annual NY2LA Sports Breakfast of Champions Fall League continued this past weekend as week 2 saw the likes of Deonte Burton, Duane Wilson Jr., Phillip Nolan, Jamaar Mckay, Jarvis Garrett, Nick Fuller, Toby Hegner, Turner Botz, Reed Timmer, Riley Lachance, Carrington Love, Larry Fitzgerald, Diamond Stone, Lamonte Bearden, T.J. Schlundt, Brady Ellingson, Donnell Ceegers, Joe Binyoti, etc. and a host of other top prospects hit the hardwood once again. When the ball stopped bouncing 2012 prospects Carrington Love and Tonnie Collier both stole the show with excellent efficient performances in the second week. The 7th annual Swish & Dish Spring Warm-Up for boys 3rd-11th grade teams is set for March 30-April 1, 2012 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This tournament is regarded as one of the premiere travel team events in the country annually with some of the premiere teams and individual talent in the country already confirmed to be in attendance once again next year. The 7th annual NY2LA Sports Invitational for boys 3rd-11th grad teams is set for May 18-20, 2012 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
