As well to the top performers from the Swish N’ Dish tournament, there were plenty of players helping their recruitment stock. Here are just several from a long list.
Rolyns Aligbe – 2023 – F/C – Grassroots Sizzle
There are many different aspects to like about the senior’s game. He has great size at 6’9” with a strong build but is agile and has some skills to his game plus plays with good energy. With his physical tools he plays well inside on both ends but was also effective on the perimeter with the ability to hit outside shots and handle the ball. A very high upside post.
William Jamsion – 2024 – PG – 94 Feet Elite
Jamsion is a dynamic playmaker with his ability off the dribble getting into the defense. He does a very good job of changing his speeds and direction to get plenty of paint touches always finding space in the defense to attack. On the attack, he showed very good vision creating for his teammates but also finished the ball well in traffic inside as well as pulling up in the mid-range.
Luke Kinkade – 2024 – SG – Breakaway Basketball
Game after game throughout the tournament, Kinkade showcased his shooting ability. Even with teams paying great attention to him, it didn’t make a difference, the 6’3” guard shot the ball at a percentage off the catch from three all tournament long. He moves so well coming off screens and quickly getting into his shot to get them off. One of the top shooters in Illinois.
Demond Laongoen – 2024 – PG – Wisconsin Triple Threat
The point guard plays very well on the attack but also shot it well from the outside. Laongoen is strong with the ball in his hands, showed a good ability to read the floor, and get into the paint often making plays. A tough shot maker from the outside who can create his own shot hitting them at a high percentage.
Grant Manz – 2024 – PF – Wisconsin Swing
Manz is a 6’6” workhorse post with a solid build that plays his role so well. He stepped up his game in a big way in the gold semifinals scoring 16 points to advance the Swing into the title game. A very tough interior defender plus is very aggressive on the boards on each end.
Ryan Meehan – 2024 – G – MTXE Premiere
Meehan started Sunday in a big way hitting six threes in the opening morning games. He was hitting them off the catch as well as the dribble at a high percentage. Much more than a shooter, Meehan also looked much improved playing with the ball in his hands as a playmaker facilitating the ball.
CJ Savage – 2024 – PG – M14 Hoops
The point guard had multiple strong games during the tournament including a twenty-point game. He is a strong guard with good handle and moves well with the ball in his hands. A versatile scorer who shot the ball well from the outside as well as pulling up in the mid-range and getting into the paint.
Jehvion Starwood – 2024 – G – Illinois Wolves
There is much to like about Starwood’s game. An explosive guard that showed the ability to be a dominant player on both ends with his unique talents. He can play very aggressively on defense side getting into ball handlers with his athleticism and quickness. He also has great burst of quickness to accelerate with ease by defenders getting all the way to the rim.
Brandon Tilley – 2024 – SF – Wisconsin Swing
Tilley started the tournament strong with a 15-point game over Team Rose Friday night. The 6’5” wing forward did much of his damage spotting up from the outside. A high percentage shooter from three with a great stroke. More than a shooter, Tilley has some strength and can battle inside and handle the ball and make plays.
