Not only a star on the hardwood, Daniel Freitag is also a star on the grid iron. The 6’2” junior of Jefferson High School (MN) is one of the top dual sport athletes in the entire nation. He has earned high major offers in both basketball and football.

While Freitag is currently unsure of what sport he will play at the next level, his recruitment in both sports continues to rapidly grow. For football, the wide receiver recently was offered by Notre Dame as well to already holding offers from Kansas State and Minnesota.

ACC, Big Ten, and Big Twelve basketball programs have all already offered him. These include Baylor, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Virginia, and Wisconsin. The four-star point guard and top sixty junior in the nation is having one of the top seasons in the entire region. He has averaged a lofty 29 points per game in addition to 9 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals.

“I’d say I’m a useful guy to have on the floor. A three-level scorer who can facilitate and defend at a high level. I also take very much pride in my leadership,” Freitag said describing his own game. Over the next several months, he should have one of the more interesting recruitments to track with his dual sport ability. Freitag plays with the Howard Pulley program on the EYBL.
