The annual NY2LA Future Camp featured many of the area’s top 2026 players. While these players have yet to start their high school career, there was a great deal of talent on the floor. Here are the players from the 2026 that stood out the most at the camp.
Yusef Gray – 2026 – PG – Phenom University
Gray is a smart point guard with some size at 6’3” that was always a step ahead of defenders with a good ability to read the floor. He is a highly skilled playmaker with the ball in his hands who was often getting into the paint with ease with his moves and quickness. He is strong with the ball in his hands and maneuvers very well amongst defenders. Not only was Gray one of the top scorers of the camp with 15 points per game but showcased his strong passing ability.
Ethan Joling – 2026 – G – All Wisconsin
Not only was Joling one of the more skilled players of the showcase but he also has size in the backcourt and plays with plenty of energy. A highly versatile player who is a good playmaker off the dribble but can also play big inside. Throughout the entire camp he was outworking the opposition to make plays on both ends of the floor doing a bit of everything. As well to being one of the top scorers, he was also one of the top rebounders and better defenders.
Thian Riak – 2026 – G/F – Phenom University
After a stellar year with Phenom University, Riak continued that at the Future Camp to earn himself co-mvp honors of the 2026 class. The highly athletic 6’4” wing was one of the most impactful players of the camp with his ability to do so much on the floor. He led the camp in scoring with 18 points per game. He showed a great playmaking off the dribble, getting to the bucket with ease due to his long strides and moves. As well to his scoring, he was also one of the top defenders of the camp with all his physical tools, he defended guards and forwards well alike. Riak is one of the higher upside 2026 prospects in the entire Midwest.
Bryce Wegrzyn – 2026 – F – Illinois Central Elite
Wegrzyn is a tough and energetic forward who was one of the top big men of the camp. He played big to control the paint on both ends but also showed some perimeter skills as well. With a very aggressive style of play, he was able to lock down the paint defensively as well to lead the camp in rebounds. Wegrzyn was a force scoring the ball around the basket, finishing at a high percentage right through defenders as well to being able to handle the ball and get to the basket.
Michael Wilson – 2026 – G – MadCity Mambas
Aloing with Riak, Wilson earned himself co-mvp honors. He’s a tough guard that was able to take the game over at times. He excelled with his ability going downhill attacking the basket and finishing well through contact to score 15 points per game. A good playmaker off the dribble who also hit shots off the dribble with range at a high percentage. He has a very aggressive style to his game in addition to advanced skill set.
Zavier Zens – 2026 – SG – Phenom University
The 6’5” two guard was the second leading scorer of the showcase at 16.5 points a game, doing much of his damage from the outside. He has great form on his jumper at a young age and really looks to hunt his shots to have hit seven of his eleven three-point attempts. He is a pure shooter spotting up but is also comfortable off the dribble hitting shots and attacking the basket. He continuously showed great decision making and awareness on the floor.
