The 15U level truly came to play this weekend at the Wisconsin Spring Showdown. Here are the players that has great breakout performances for themselves with strong performances. 

Pierce Arenz – 2024 – PG – WI Blizzard 
A speedy playmaking point guard that can burst past defenders with his quick first step. Arenz was able to get to the basket often with his quickness and is a crafty finisher amongst post plus also scored it spotting up from the perimeter with a quick release on his smooth jumper. 

Jace Gilbert – 2024 – F/C – WI RAP
Gilbert is a powerful 6’5” post that plays big on the floor and is a stat stuffer. He played with a big motor throughout the weekend and was all over the court making plays. He scores it very strong in the paint through contact plus can also handle the ball and attack the basket. 

Drew Klobe – 2024 – F – WI Crusaders 
A 6’5” forward with a very strong build who plays big inside. He plays with good physicality in the paint and was just overpowering defenders to score the ball at a high rate while posting up. With his strength plus some good moves with his nice footwork, he just could not be stopped once he got the ball around the basket.

Sean Ladwig – 2024 – F – JH1 Elite
A versatile 6’3” wing forward that was contributing in a number of ways on the floor. He’s a tough rebounder that grabs anything near him plus can defend multiple positions effectively. He scored the ball efficiently off the dribble often getting to the basket with good moves and can finish in traffic.   

Ron Lee – 2024 – G – WI Dynasty
A skilled pass first point guard that was always attacking to get into the defense often and creating. With his good handle and quickness, he proved to be very tough to stay in front of, even for some quality defenders. While on the move he showed a very good passing ability to create some good looks for his teammates plus was able to score around the paint

Ryan Meehan – G – 2024 – JH1 Elite
Another week and Meehan was shooting the ball at a high percentage from deep once again. The 6’2” wing guard has such a great looking jumper and just does not miss when he is able to get set and has any room spotting up out on the perimeter. 

Hudson Torrez – 2024 – G – Chapman Basketball Academy
Torrez impressed with his play on both sides of the basketball. He can really defend the ball out on the perimeter and is very tough to beat with his lateral quickness. Offensively, he is good with the ball in his hands attacking and distributes it out plus shoots it well off the dribble.   

Gavin Van Wie – 2024 – G – WI Swing
A skilled two guard who is a very efficient scorer. He showed off nice shot selection and has a smooth jumper to hit his shots well when spotting up from deep. In addition to his shooting, the 6’1” freshman, was also taking the ball aggressively to the basket through defenders to finish inside.

Willie Williams – 2024 – PG – WI Rise
The active point guard impressed with his play on both sides of the ball. He’s a good on ball defender with his quickness and energy that is very tough to beat. He scored the ball going to the basket but made his biggest impact on the offensive end with his distributing ability. Williams was always scanning the floor looking for his teammates and made some tremendous passes.
