Opening night of the 2022 Generation Next Invitational saw a handful of talented prospects deliver solid efforts to kick off the weekend.  Here’s a quick look at five that stood out in Wisconsin…

Sam Hjort – 2026 - Hybrid Guard – Mid Pro Academy – Sam scored 17 points Friday night in a blowout win for Mid Pro Academy. Hjort was lights out from 3-point land, going 4-6 and the two he missed were bombs from around NBA range. Outside of his scoring, he led his team vocally and rebounded the ball well from his guard position.

Stevie Hall – 2027- Dual Forward – The Family – I watched Hall play in Louisville a few weeks back and was impressed. After watching him last night I am even more impressed. Hall was a do it all guy for The Family on Friday night. He ran point guard getting others involved, he rebounded the ball and played with tempo in the open court. He also added 14 points to pace his team to a victory.

Landon Mays – 2027 - Power Forward – Meanstreets Select White – Mays is a big body. He is physical, crashes the boards hard and has a soft touch around the rim. In an overtime victory Friday night, Mays had by my count 18 rebounds. Defensively, he altered shots and made anything in the paint really uncomfortable for his opponent.

Tyree Brister – 2026 – Point Guard – Mid Pro South – Brister is a playmaking point guard and floor general for his team. He scored when needed, scoring 13 points to lead his team, but made a huge impact on the floor with his distributing, reading the floor, and communication to his teammates. He has good handle and very rarely made bad passes to his teammates. He got downhill repeatedly and also showed a lost art now a days of entering the ball to the bigs down in the post.

Charlie Dunham – 2026 – Hybrid Guard – MTXE Premier – Dunham did a lot of his damage Friday night getting to the basketball. He got into the lane at will and either scored or made the pass to a wide-open teammate. Late in the game he his two big 3-point shots to put the game out of reach. He led his team with 16 points in their win.
