The Midwest has continued to see a boom on the hardwood over the past decade and Minnesota has had more than their fair share.  The Generation Next Basketball Association “GNBA” platform has laid the foundation for countless Division 1 prospects in the state and region and the 2022 class is no exception.  The latest talent to cut his teeth in the GNBA middle school platform and eventually start trending upward as a high major Division 1 prospect is 2022 SG Braeden Carrington of Park Center High School in Minnesota.

Equipped with a plus length 6’3 near 160 pound frame, Carrington is a solid up and coming off guard with an ability to knock down the trey ball in a catch and shoot capacity spotting up on the break or coming off screens in half court sets.  He’s shown an improved ability to score off the bounce at multiple levels and he can finish through traffic at the rim.  Mix in solid instincts on the defensive end, nice length and an ability to disrupt things both on and off the ball, and nice overall court awareness on both ends and the athletic up and coming week is an intriguing prospect that’s starting to take steps forward nationally.

Minnesota and Seton Hall are the most recent schools to offer Carrington who also holds offers from Florida and Missouri as well.  Once things get back to normal in Minnesota look for him to really start to open some eyes as he’s one of the premiere 2022 prospects in the state.  He plays with the Grassroots Sizzle program during the travel season.
