Keagen Smith, a relative late bloomer and when a underclassman stationed behind more senior teammates, has burst on the Minnesota 3A scene this season. He's the 2nd leading scorer at Delano getting 19.2 points per outing, and has 3 games of 28 or more.

With three high power players at Delano in 2019-20 Delano has raced out to a 12-2 record. The three players, Trey Longstreet, Terron O'Neill, and Keagen Smith collectively are averaging almost 54 points per game forming their own Big 3 like LeBron, Wade, and Bosh.

Q: How's the season going so far?
A: It’s going good so far. We are 10-2, and ranked in the top 10 for AAA. We are playing well together as a team, and we’re forming a good chemistry as the season progresses.

Q: How do you think you're playing?
A: I think I'm playing good so far this year. I think i’m averaging a little over 19 a game at the moment. There’s always something to improve, but I do my best to help out the team however I can.

Q: As a Senior, anything different for you this year over past years? Are you more of a leader?
A: I’ve grown a lot the past few years, which helps. Since I am a senior, I try to be as best of a leader as I can. I try to set a good example for my other teammates, and try to keep everyone motivated.

Q: How's recruiting going, any offers or interest?
A: It’s good so far. No offers yet, but I’ve been getting more attention recently since the season started.
